new 2011 Jeep Compass 4-door SUV
continues to provide an economical option for the budget-conscious Jeep

great fuel economy that is comparable to most compact cars. If you are in the
market for a four-wheel drive vehicle that will see mostly on-road use, the 2011
Jeep Compass deserves your attention. While it may not compare to the other Jeep
model's rugged off-road capabilities, the 2011 Jeep Compass will give you the
Jeep look and a fun ride around town.
2011 Jeep Compass Interior Features
The 2011 Jeep Compass is a comfortable ride with interior features befitting
of its Jeep heritage. The Compass offers comfortable seats and the cabin
features a lot of hard plastic, which is durable and adds some flair to the
interior. Optional features include leather upholstery and heated seats, as well
as navigation systems, Bluetooth technology, and Boston Acoustic speakers.
2011
Jeep Compass Test Drive
The Jeep Compass rides much like a car for a good reason. Underneath the Jeep
Compass body, this vehicle is based on the Dodge Caliber design to provide
car-like handling with a higher ground clearance. One of the few Jeep vehicles
that offer a fully independent suspension, the 2011 Compass provides a smooth
on-road ride and fun handling characteristics.
Although the 2.4 liter inline 4-cylinder engine is fairly small, it provides
substantial power for this lightweight vehicle. The intake manifold design
includes flow control valves to increase the power production while maintaining
a great fuel economy rating and a quiet engine. The available Freedom Drive I
full-time, four-wheel drive system provides great traction on smooth surfaces
and in rough weather conditions.

Jeep Compass Exterior Design
The Compass has been plagued with a somewhat bizarre looking front end since
day one, and that's just the part of this mini-Jeep that appears to have
undergone a heavy redesign. We can see the slats on the traditional Jeep grille
are wider and chrome-ringed on this newly designed Jeep. The entire grille
opening itself also appears to be a bit wider, but shorter in height.
The single lens, circular headlights are also gone, swapped in favor for a
more aggressive-looking, dual lens headlight cluster. There also are chrome
accents running across the top of the headlights. A pair of projector-like fog
lights are also prominent on the front bumper. Other changes include a totally
new lower fascia and a new hood. The double-spoked wheels are new to the Compass
as well. At the rear are entirely new LED taillights, a new bumper and a
moderately re-designed tailgate. A new steering wheel has been added to an
otherwise untouched interior design.
